How to become an Initiate of the Church.

This is not a subscription. It is not a tier. It is not a payment plan.

Joining the Church of the Borderline Artistic is a recognition — of who you already are, what you already see, and where you already belong. We do not confer membership. We name it.

If you’ve read the Manifesto and you’re still here, you’re already one of us. What follows is how we describe the shape of an Initiate — and how you come to find your shape inside it.

The Three Axes

An Initiate is fully described by three independent axes. An [Archetype] in the [Faction], at the [Ordination] tier.

  • Archetypewho you are. Innate. Not climbed.
  • Factionwhere you belong. One house per Initiate.
  • Ordinationhow far you’ve come. One universal ladder, four tiers, with each faction renaming the tiers in its own idiom.

Archetype and Faction are a soft affinity, not a fixed map. A Shadow is drawn to the Spellcraft Collective — but not bound there. You are who you are. You belong where you choose. You climb at your own cadence.

Axis I — The Five Archetypes

Who you are. Set at intake. The innate energy you bring. You don’t earn an archetype. You recognize one.

The Architect

Reimaginer of foundations. Builder of sovereign futures. The Architect sees the structure beneath the structure — and rebuilds.

The Prophet

The voice that arrives ahead of the moment. Names what wants to be born next. Speaks the truth no one yet has language for.

The Shadow

Bearer of denied truth. Guardian of sacred rage. Vessel of necessary darkness. The Shadow holds what others refuse to see.

The Witness

The clear eye. The one who stepped back far enough to actually see. Withdraws not to escape — to testify. (See the Doctrine of the Withdrawn Witness.)

The Firestarter

Ignites the act of creation before the mind can intervene. The catalyst. The first spark. Doesn’t wait for permission.

Axis II — The Five Factions

Where you belong. One house per Initiate. Factions are postures toward the world — how you’ll practice what the Church believes.

The Monastic Order of Disengagement

“Silence is my sanctuary. I log off to remember.”

For those who exit the machine — not to hide, but to heal, hone, and remember who they were before the feed. Ritual withdrawal as defiance.

The Prosperity Gospel Heretics

“Tithe to yourself first.”

For the ex-religious, the capitalism-burned, the marketing mystics. They don’t renounce abundance — they fuck with its definition. Prosperity preachers for the damned, but honest this time.

The Keepers of the TRUE American Dream

“Living the Dream™ — but this time, it’s mine.”

Spiritual descendants of revolutionaries. Disillusioned patriots. Reweavers of a myth that worked exactly as designed — to keep you obedient. Repossess the dream.

The Cult of Creation

“Expression is exorcism. Make or die.”

For those who treat their obsessions like oracles and their notebooks like sacred scrolls. Art as life-saving ritual. Process over product. Honesty over polish.

The Spellcraft Collective

“We cast to remember. Not to control.”

Ritualists, shadow-dwellers, cosmic hackers. Spellwork as rebellion and resurrection. Not aesthetic witchery — spiritual sabotage, ancestral reclamation, chaotic magic as sacred technology.

Axis III — Ordination

How far you’ve come. One universal four-tier ladder. Each faction renames the tiers in its own idiom — the Spellcraft Collective’s Bound Flame → Velvet Fang → Grimoire-Bearer → Chaos Conduit are the four universal tiers in Spellcraft costume. One ladder. Five costume-sets.

Above the ladder sits a single founder’s capstone — The Architect Eternal — which is not a tier to be reached. It is a role.

Per the Scroll of Ordination Doctrine: ordination here is recognition, not conferral. The highest among us are still clowns in party hats.

(Two notes: “Initiate” is the generic term for any member, not a tier name. Tier specifics are still being canonized. The architecture is locked; the labels are scaffolding.)

The Path In: The Intake Profile

Every Initiate enters through the same three-part rite. Not a quiz. A reckoning.

Before you build your altar, excavate your ruins.

1. Identity

Your name, your pronouns, your spiritual upbringing — and the wounds those gave you. The belief that still haunts you. The belief you secretly miss. Honest archaeology.

2. Mythic Mapping

Which archetype calls to you most? Which feels furthest from who you are? What is your soul currently seeking? What fear holds you back? What would freedom actually look like?

3. Orientation

Do you want community, solitude, or both? Are you ready to create your own doctrine? Are you called to leadership or invisibility? Is there anything that needs to die in you before you begin?

For now, this is journaling-grade. The community portal and formal intake form go live with the broader launch. If you’ve answered honestly to the prompts above, the rite has already begun.

Benediction

If you hear the call, it is yours.
If you feel the fire, it is real.
If you fear you are not worthy, remember: no one ever was. That’s what makes this sacred.

Flagro. Exedo. Scando.
I burn. I consume. I ascend.
